We were watching literacy videos and we came across a video that was from an Asian country teaching the kids English. The woman had a pretty thick accent, though she was still very understandable.
One little boy yells out, "That's Spanglish, we don't do that!"
Where he learned Spanglish and where purely Englished turned into Spanglish is beyond me, but boy was it cute!
That's hysterical! I'm not even sure Spanglish is an official word in the dictionary!

How funny! I love watching my kids listen to non-American english speakers. They always think it's a foreign language.
ReplyDeleteHaha that's cute!!! Our kids are kind of used to the American accent thanks to TV and movies but American kids would definitely find our accent funny!

Adorable! I had a little one last year with an accent who would get upset if my para spoke to another student in Spanish. He would say to her "why you not speak English? We speak English here" but the funniest part was he would pronounce "English" as "Onglish"
